BIKE HIRE TERMS

Apollo XC.26  mountain bikes

• The Apollo XC.26 mountain bike offers extremely a high performance 
• Available in 20 inch, 17 inch frames
• Bikes serviced each week
• Front suspension for increased comfort both on and off the road
• Cross-tread Mountain Bike tyres give good grip off road and work well on-road
• Powerfull front and rear V-brakes
• I8 Speed Shimano gears
• Ergonomically designed mountain bike saddle to increase comfort
• Bike accessories available : spare inner tube, Puncture repair kit including pump, Helmets(medium only).

Bicycle Hire Terms.

Our bikes are provided for the use of our guests as an additional service only. We are not a bike hire company and accept no liability for the correct training and use and adjustment of bikes for guests. The seats have quick release handles for easy adjustment and must be adjusted by the guest before use.The bikes are used at the guests own risk. The bicycles are serviced every week and left for use by the guests for a nominal fee.

Bicycles available are adult  Appollo XC.26 mountain bikes,  Gents 17" and 20" frames and Ladies 17" frame, all with 26" wheels.  They are designed for local touring and gentle forest tracks.

We recommend you bring your own cycle helmets. We have medium size helmets available only (The Trax Furnace Cycle Helmet,  Adult/youth cycle helmet , Exceeds British safety standards BS EN1078 , Medium size: 54cm - 58cm)

We will provide a spare inner tube, pump and repair kit for each party. If you require us to fix punctures or change inner tubes there will be an additional hire charge.

The bikes have reflectors fitted but do not have lights as they are for local use during the day only and are to be returned to the cottages each day. We cannot offer a collection service should you get into difficulty on your trip, however we have left a bike rack at the cottage for your use should you require it.

We reserve the right to charge for any damage or loss caused to bikes.

We hope this service is of benefit to our guests and that you will appreciate it is not practical for us to run a full blown bike hire service and this is reflected in the nominal charge. ( most bike hire companies charge £14/ day)
